Downtown Artist & Label services offers distribution, bespoke marketing solutions, and funding to entrepreneurial artists and their partners, ranging from emerging talent at the forefront of pop culture to the most storied managers and record labels. Downtown Music is owned and operated by Downtown Music Holdings. Downtown allows artists and their partners to achieve the same commercial success on digital sales and streaming platforms that they would expect of a major record label, without sacrificing any ownership in their works, control over their strategy, or their creative vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our internship positions are open to either remote or in office employment. All internship positions are part time and paid an hourly rate of $16.04 per hour. Applications for this role are open until July 26th. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Fall 2023 Internship Program will run from September 19th – December 8th.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

What you’ll do: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Organization of A&R admin files<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Scan new music Friday and other resources for talent, contacts etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Researching unsigned writers, bands, and producer<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Researching songwriter information including affiliations, contact info and potential cases that may be available<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Assisting with weekly research reports focused on current charts, trends etc. including but not limited to sourcing through Shazam and Spotify data<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Building databases for Research A&R<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Collecting data from industry site Nielsen Connect<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    You are \/ have:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Comfortable and skilled in both written and verbal communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Someone who has an interest and basic understanding of Music Publishing <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Knowledgeable of the domestic and international artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Skilled in Microsoft Excel\/Google Sheets, and experienced in collecting, organizing, and manipulating large pools of data<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Confident carrying out projects from start to finish and providing valuable results <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Self-starter and diligent follow-up with supervisor <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
