Established in 1999 by former AM:PM and Cooltempo A&amp;R Simon Dunmore, Defected has a number of sub-labels including DFTD, 4 To The Floor, Glitterbox, Classic Music Company, Stay True Sounds, Faith, D4 D4NCE, and The Remedy Project. Defected also owns and manages over 30 catalogues for heritage house imprints. The Defected catalogue includes singles from artists such as Bob Sinclar, CamelPhat, Kings of Tomorrow, Masters At Work, Dennis Ferrer, Mike Dunn, MK and more recently The Martinez Brothers, Boys Noize, Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, Honey Dijon, Gorgon City, Purple Disco Machine, Vintage Culture, and many more.Defected run events globally including stages at major music festivals and standalone club nights, as well as residencies in Ibiza since 2003. They also host Defected festivals in London, Croatia, and Malta, drawing people from the UK, Australia, North America, South Africa, and all corners of Europe. Defected\u2019s mission is to service our community whilst helping artists build longer lasting, more impactful, and more profitable careers. DStore is the online merchandise outlet for Defected Records, selling apparel and vinyl to a worldwide audience.<strong>About You<\/strong>We\u2019re looking for a pro-active, driven and well-organised intern to join Defected Records during the summer months to help support our Agency department. This internship is full-time and would suit a candidate who is looking to embark on an exciting, fast paced career in the music industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibitlies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Liaising with promotors, management, and internal teams to help coordinate, organise and approve our event artwork to specified deadlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate promotional material and announcement schedules alongside management to ensure everything goes out smoothly and in a timely manner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with diary management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate and forward itineraries and schedules to artists and\/or management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the Colluded social media channels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have oversight over Colluded\u2019s Mail Chimp account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in our artists\u2019 creative strategy sessions by taking notes and making contributions where relevant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deliver on a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster good relationships with all internal departments and cross-functional teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide the team with regular updates on your work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Become familiar with Defected\u2019s brand, culture, values, and existing business processes and make sure you are acting within these everyday<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as an ambassador for the brand whilst liaising externally and internally<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a team player, supporting other team members where required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role Requirements<\/strong>For this role you must have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>An interest in Defected Records and its sub-brands with a desire to learn about events within the electronic music sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An understanding of the electronic music industry and a passion to continue learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A basic understanding of Excel, Dropbox, Google Drive and Mailchimp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quick learner with the ability to take initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong written literacy skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong>If you see yourself in this role, we\u2019d love to hear from you.
