The Winds & Strings Department impacts every level of musician, from elementary school students to marching band and drum corps members to symphony orchestra first chairs. We do this by marketing and distributing wind instruments, orchestral acoustic, and silent\/electric strings to the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Intern, Winds & Strings Marketing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Here’s what you will do:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Internships with Yamaha last approximately 4 months, but will not exceed 6 months<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is what you will bring to the table:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior from an accredited university or have graduated within a year with a degree in Journalism, Marketing, Music Business, Music Performance, Music Education, Public Relations, or related field<\/p>\n\n\n\n Experience with a retail music store is a plus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Skills & Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Software Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Working knowledge of the latest technology and applications including social media, podcasts, Mac OS and presentation software along with a strong interest in learning new trends in marketing technology Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Word\/Excel\/PowerPoint)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Equal Opportunity Employer\/Protected Veterans\/Individuals with Disabilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
