We are looking for a digital first audio expert to lead and manage the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will lead the development, production and release of original, and engaging contemporary podcasts to reach new audiences. In addition to developing and leading a strong slate of quality podcasts, you will also ensure the highest editorial and quality standards for digital audio output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Role Will Also Include<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying talent and content opportunities and leading development and the commissioning of podcasts including new formats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing dynamic leadership and direction to the Audio Studios podcast team to ensure a shared understanding of and commitment to the team&#8217;s objectives and ABC \/ E&amp;S strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide high level editorial direction and advice, ensuring rigorous editorial decision making and a culture of accountability within the Audio Studios team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviewing and assessing the performance of podcast content against strategic goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments and identifying and developing opportunities that will benefit the ABC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overseeing the management and ensuring the efficient use of resources and budgets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working closely with stakeholders, including Distribution and Marketing, to maximise the impact of content across platforms including ABC listen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Podcast Manager with demonstrated editorial management and leadership experience in podcasting. You will have a strong personal drive and professionalism as well as an expert understanding and exposure to key audio, digital and media platforms.
