
Tour Marketing Manager at Vector MGMT (US)
Job Description
Artist management firm seeking a detail-oriented candidate who is well-versed in the planning, marketing and promotion and of live concerts and touring.
The position sits within an internal, cross-functional marketing team that works across an extensive client roster of artists to provide expertise and services such as A&R administration, physical/digital distribution, event management (experiential and activation), content (creation, production and programming), graphic design, social media, direct to consumer campaigns, e-commerce, merchandising, business development (licensing, promotional & sponsorship), tour marketing and VIP ticketing.
This position reports directly to the Director of Tour Marketing.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL DO
- Coordinate tour announcements, pre-sales and general on-sales of concerts/tours with agents, venues and promoters in local markets
- Analyze ticketing setup – scaling, comps/holds, VIP, seat map…
- Collaborate with internal creative team and/or outside agencies to develop approved marketing assets – ad mats, radio and TV spots, animations, videos, liners…
- Liaise with internal Digital team to deploy messaging to drive awareness to core fan base and general public via website, concert listings, social channels, email newsletter and targeted advertising (print/radio/TV/digital)…
- Review promoter-based marketing drivers, media plans and press strategy
- QA tour marketing assets, venue website, socials and ticketing links for accuracy
- Review promoter-based marketing/ad plans, partnership drivers and local press
- Liaise with promoter/venue to manage promotional partners and local marketing opps
- Monitor ticket and VIP counts, back-end marketing plans to ensure sell-thru
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience within live entertainment – booking agency, venue marketing and/or event promoter
- Proven capacity to coordinate multiple campaigns simultaneously within a demanding, fast-paced and multi-dynamic work environment
- Understanding of advertising, ticketing + VIP, social media platforms and best practices in direct marketing live events
- Experience coordinating press and promotional partners (radio, pre-sale partners, sponsors…)
- Aptitude to think creatively, three-dimensionally and tie different promotional elements of a marketing campaign together
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple priorities and identify new business opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical in their approach to disseminating data and budgets
- Superior attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- A keen eye in proofing creative elements and copy, critical to marketing plans set to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills in dealing with managers, agents, promoters, marketers and other members of Vector’s internal marketing team
- Self-motivated and process-oriented, but capable of problem-solving
- Tech savvy command of business software (Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, Monday…) and cloud-based software (Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom…)
- Discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level artists and industry executives
- COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions
