How You’ll Make An Impact

We are seeking a qualified, motivated and service-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our team in Santa Monica, California.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing technical projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope. Their duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and executing each step of the project.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Head of Technology.

KCRW has in effect a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees beginning September 15, 2021. The mandate is subject to accommodation in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive projects from inception to delivery managing budget, timelines, and quality goals.
  • Maintain project time frames, budget estimates and status reports.
  • Identify, analyze, mitigate and proactively respond to project, financial and operational risks.
  • Create management communication plans and processes.
  • Define project responsibilities with stakeholders.
  • Participate in how the budget and staff are allocated for the project.
  • Execute delivery process so that the distributed resources can work as an effective, objective driven and collaborative team.
  • Provide leadership and help foster a work culture that recognizes, supports individual differences in work-styles, personalities, cultures and values to maximize team performance and effectively achieve team goals.
  • Help the organization put in place a continuous improvement program with focus on identifying and implementing best practices, measuring performance and driving improvements.

What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant degree and/or work experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience successfully managing multiple technical projects.
  • Understanding of the entire system development process
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts: SDLC, APIs, SaaS, standards and best practices
  • Experience implementing enterprise applications and integrations
  • Understanding of front-end technologies: JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, JSON
  • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
  • Familiarity with on-prem infrastructure that extends into the (AWS) cloud
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to forge consensus among competing constituents on critical and time sensitive issues.
  • Management style that exhibits high energy, efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness and a result orientation.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ethical and values driven; innovative and open to different ideas/viewpoints.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The applicable annual salary range for this position is $90k-$110k, which is dependent on a variety of factors including; relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
