Freelance Marketing Manager at Nu Future (UK)

Job Description

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be able to adapt approaches at short notice to fit a range of company and client needs. Advanced knowledge of marketing techniques and cutting-edge technology is vital, as well as extensive marketing and social media experience in the music and events industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans for a varied schedule of music events and the overall marketing strategy for Nu Future
  • Oversee the marketing team and work alongside the directors and link in with the wider team
  • Dazzle clients and audiences with fresh concepts and cutting-edge marketing techniques
  • Work with clients and the team to develop bespoke marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on effective event launches and maintaining momentum to ensure strong ticket sales
  • Oversee the design process of all artwork assets and implementation on social media, websites, mailers etc
  • Ensure the team and clients adhere to brand identity guidelines and seek approval from agents and artists management
  • Ensure information is up to date on all sites and data is captured appropriately
  • Manage event listings and ticket sales via ticket platforms such as Live It, Resident Advisor, Skiddle etc
  • Report on ticket sales, social media and marketing engagement data
  • Track social media following/interaction/growth and implement actions to increase reach
  • Create mailers/newsletters to several different audiences, using Mailchimp or similar
  • Book event media coverage
  • Manage marketing budgets and drive profitable growth of the P&L
  • Work with partners to gain press coverage and ensure terms of any deals are kept to
  • Collaborate with creators/influencers to deliver creative and interactive campaigns that spark conversation and interest
  • Manage reciprocal promotion from artists, labels, partners, and clients
  • Overseeing online competitions and manage entries
  • Create Facebook event pages and maintain them
  • Maintain a good level of communication with team members and clients

Requirements

  • Advanced marketing and social media experience, and how to use social media platforms to generate engagement and stimulate interaction
  • A relevant marketing degree or similar work experience
  • Experience in managing staff and working with external clients and teams
  • Demonstrable experience in creating and managing music event marketing campaigns and to connect with a wide range of audiences
  • Understanding of analysis and reporting of campaigns
  • Proven success in developing advertising and promotional materials across a mix of media
  • Excellent skills in developing and understanding customer insight to develop strategies
  • Brilliant layout and typography skills, with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to apply the latest techniques and technologies across all key social media platforms
  • Experience in creating mailers and websites alongside designers
  • Strong organisation skills to ensure deadlines are met
