With a global community of over 50 million musicians and fans, BandLab combines music-making tools like the world’s first cross-platform collaborative audio workstation with social features like video sharing, messaging, and discovery.

As Content Strategy Manager, BandLab Sounds, you will be responsible for developing catalogue and content strategies based on BandLab Sounds’ business objectives and our users’ needs. In this role, you will translate strategy into planning, execution and optimization to ensure BandLab Sounds is the most inspiring and accessible library of royalty-free samples, loops and one-shots on the internet.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive content strategy for the BandLab Sounds library
  • Survey consumption charts and industry reports/trends to identify catalogue opportunities and shape ideas to capitalise on them
  • Run regular analyses on the BandLab Sounds library to evaluate strengths and weaknesses, ensure competitiveness and develop best practices
  • Hold ownership and responsibility over BandLab Sounds’ overall catalogue schedule, production coordination and budgets
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to maintain a clear view of ongoing efforts and develop catalogue strategy that aligns accordingly
  • Work with key team members and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth scheduling, production and release of content on BandLab Sounds
  • Ensure full understanding internally and externally of relevant deal and commercial aspects of incoming content
  • Define, communicate, and monitor quality standards by reviewing both incoming and existing content
  • Create and deliver regular reports to key stakeholders, highlighting catalogue performance and growth opportunities based on strategic goals

Requirements

  • Self-starter capable of working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication, project management and organisational skills with a relentless attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of the modern digital landscape and music marketplace
  • Willingness to work across multiple time zones
  • Experience in and passion for music is a must
